ff7 game stalling ... need help

Hi

playing FF7 on my computer ... great game, bought it loong time ago, just havent been able to play it till last month ...

anyway, got a big problem:

I'm at Cosmo Canyon ... at Bugen's lab watching the solar system ... when the game sorta freezes ... able to see the shooting star movie ... but when it goes back to the players ... the game just stalls/freeze ... i can see Aeris' blinking once in a while, but other than that, the games just freeze ... I'm able to quit (CTRL Q) ... so, its not a total freeze ... it just not going forward

any idea what's wrong with it? >.<

I have applied the XP patch ... but still the same ... any help is greatly appreciated

I have the same exact problem, only my game is on Playstation. I despratley need some help PLEASE!!! (BTW, I agree. Cosmo Canyon is cursed.)

Never had that problem witht he PC version, though on mine it kept performing an illegal operation when the weapons came out at whirlwind maze. It worked when I got a new computer though. Maybe you need a new computer j/k.
