which one do you prefer? Square-Enix/Square-Soft

I would go for square-soft all the way and it's sad to see such a famous and good company fade away with $quenix , these are my opinions though but the last time i ever saw any sign of square-soft was in FF10 where its close to the menu and the sign appears with the date......

I prefer the name square-soft, but the company square-enix because they're the best RPG makers around and the two together should have some great ones in store for us

I see no problem with either. Because the companies are still entirely seperate I can only blame square if there are bad FFs and blame enix if there are bad DWs. I don't think square's getting worse (just different) and so don't agree. The combination just means we can blame great games on both companies at once, YAY!

I think you're a little confused here, so to explain: SquareSOFT merged with enix and became the entity surprisingly called square-enix. Therefore there will be no more games with SquareSOFT as the makes because it's now a part of enix, they still make the FFs (and their other games) with no interference from enix and enix does the same.

Definetely Squaresoft. Everything that Square-Enix has released (So far) has been rubbish IMO. I hope when DQ8 comes out over here, it'll change that.

I liked it better when it was just Squaresoft. Back then we didn't have all the Square fans blaming their terrible games on Enix.

Square Enix can do a lot more than Squaresoft did as far as making games, but the quality of games goes to Squaresoft.

If its quality, SS hands down, all of my treasured RPG moments go to those guys. SE still havent amazed me with anything, even DQVIII. And we still havent got a definate FF from them yet ( X-2 Dont count as they already had the base of the game, but they created an alright battle system, imporoves from the linear system of FFX's ). But after playing FFXII demo, I think it should be enjoyable, although they all seem to be too similer to FFX's way of doing FF. I know its there new next gen take of the FF line, but I think they should step back to the old days of espers etc.
