SEXY McAWESOME TO YOU, MISTER
How long until they shut this popular site down, I wonder.
Oh crap. There goes what I spend most of the day doing.
EDIT: But there's no way in hell they find the site I go to for my John Denver tabs, because I'm pretty sure I'm probably the only one that ever goes there.

www.ultimate-guitar.com is still going. I hope they don't take down the tabs sect
They shut down MX tabs? That's bloody ridiculous. I'll cry if UG goes, it's good for news and everything. I wouldn't be half the guitarist I am without those sites.
Stopping illegal music downloads I understand, cause that's the artists themselves getting screwed. But now it's just greedy tab companies that are finding themselves out done by a free service, tis annoying. Still, illegal MP3 downloading is doing as well as ever, so no doubt people will forget about it eventually and we'll get our tabs back.

This depresses me really. MXTabs was the only tab site where I could get majority of the bands I listen to's tabs. Yay. ;D
Also, if the tab ban isn't lifted it really puts a hinder on a lot of new guitarists. I learned to tab from reading tabs. They lead by example and if they're not around to learn from, it's going to be seriously harder for self-taught people to learn. ;/
Originality is good, kids.
Nevermind tabs, are they seriously talking about taking lyrics down? Now tabs, I can vaguely understand - you have to actually buy books most of the time - but lyrics? Come on, retards. It's not like it'd be easy to pass off any but the most obscure band's lyrics as your own, and those bands aren't going to have representation by these big companies anyway.
If they take lyrics down, I'll cry like an emo kid being shoved into a locker. ;__;
That sucks big time. As long as UG doesn't go down the world will keep spinning though.

Aww smurf!! Don't go X-guitar, don't go!! Right before I'm going to get my guitar strings fixed, too!!
http://www.xguitar.com/
That site kicked so much ass..
That's just retardedly dumb. Not every band has Tabs books.. And to ban posting lyrics on the web is even worse. What the hell could possibly be the mentality here? "If they can play the music themselves, they won't want to buy the real thing!!" That's just farking stupid.

I didn't read the whole article, and I skimmed through most of it but did they actually say that?? I would only read music tabs of songs that I have heard...
Yeah but the older you are the better you can hear lyrics. But then again there really is no reason to take down lyrical sites...Originally Posted by Rye
