Waste of money...

It's hard to come up with new thread ideas and because i'm pretty new i'm hoping this hasn't been done recently. I was just wondering what your biggest waste of money has been.

Mine's gotta be redecorating my room with new furniture and paint and everything, finishing it with a total cost of about £1800, and realising it was shockingly horrible. Since then i've redecorated again, hoping i've done a better job..
Or doing the lottery... it's only a couple of quid, but that for a couple of years adds up into the high hundreds....

Forgot to add that purchasing reems of terrible games (speed freaks included).
