    I advertise all the time. Except I make a few words of my post a link so it won't be noticed by many. I don't think anyone has ever noticed it actually. It was only a link to a rival FF forum either way.

    I once joined another final fantasy forum that was advertised in a PM because the person who sent it was from France. I forgot when this was, but I do remember I only made one post.

    Other than that, I just delete them. I don't really care.
