    email them and tell them:clone:

Which Final Fantasy One Enemy am I?

You Are CHAOS; You are the supreme evil reigning in the land. You are large, in charge, and made all-powerful through a very confusing time-loop thing. Hidden in the past, you destroy the future from within, and a single battle with you could determine the fate of the planet...

Other than rom hacks I doubt there will be a new Chrono game. I really beleive that SE has gone real downhill the past few years. Oh and for anyone looking for PS emulators check here www.zophar.net

    God, do I wish. xD
What was the start of all this?
When did the cogs of fate begin to turn?

Perhaps it is impossible to grasp that answer now,
from deep within the flow of time...

But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

Well if it doesn't happen sooner it probably won't happen at all.

Think of it this way. Chrono Trigger was released in '95 I believe. Now given that the majority of the rpg fan base is in their mid to late teens that would mean that the people who built up the majority of the Chrono Trigger fan base would probably be starting to push 30 by now. And by the time another Chrono game came out they would be even older than that.

And since the majority of the teenagers these days probably never owned the system that Chrono Trigger came out on they probably have never played Chrono Trigger in the first place so therefore are not part of the fan base anyhow.

So if they do not come out with another Chrono game soon it will probably never happen because it would be kind of pointless for square to make a game for a group of people who probably don't play video games all that much anyhow.

Super Metroid was released for the SNES in 1994, and gamers loved it and clamored for a sequel. Yet, it wasn't until eight years and two console generations after the last game's release that the series was continued.

That kind of thing doesn't happen every day, but it's entirely possible. It's even more likely when you factor in Chrono Cross, a late PS game which exposed a lot of new people to the series. There's also the PS rerelease and rampant emulation of Chrono Trigger to consider. The Chrono games certainly have enough of a following to generate enough hype for a new installment to sell adequately.

Chrono Break will be made; it is only a matter of time. These series have been revived by Square Enix in the last couple years:

    Grandia III
    Star Ocean 3
    Front Mission 4 and 5
    Valkyrie Profile 2 and DS
    Seiken Densetsu 4 and DS
    Drakengard 2
    Romancing SaGa Minstrel Song
    Musashi Samurai Legend

    ~

Chrono will come. If an enterprise is profitable, it is in a business's pure interests to take advantage of it. And now that Masato Kato is helping with the Children of Mana project, he's working with SE again. Mitsuda being a freelancer won't stop him from helping out too; he was a freelancer in 1998 and 1999, but the team demanded his involvement in the music and Squaresoft rightly said "sure."

Odds are they will eventually make another 'Chrono' game, but it will most likely be something similar to Chrono Cross - not a true sequel, with a revamped battle system. Most folks tend not to like Cross as much because of these factors (or at least people I have spoken to about the subject).

I wish Square would stop trying to reinvent itself with each new title and just go for something obvious and classic- if only for the old school fans. Maybe release something every few years to feed the original fan base.

Regarding the next in the chrono series, it would be wonderful if it were a true sequel with the same overall environment/feel of the old game; the great music, plot twists, and simplistic yet incredibly kick-ass combat that made the game a 'classic' in the first place.

None of those games are made by square. They just publish those games. Just like Nintendo did not make Perfect Dark...Rare made it and Nintendo published it.
