Yes, Cloud, Aerith, and Sephiroth have been made to closer resemble their AC selves. I don't think it makes a huge difference for Sephiroth or Aerith, but I preferred Cloud's appearance in KH1.

I have to agree with Kishi. Cloud's get-up for Kingdom Hearts was too awesome. I was rather disappointed when I saw that it was discarded.

They had to change Cloud's outfit because he was qwearing Vincent's clothes in KH, and Vincent is in KHII. So they used Cloud's AC outfit.
I think they should've made Vincent in his Turk uniform, and kept Cloud in Vincent's clothing.
