I'm more of a little hardcore kid really. Some metal is pretty good, though to be honest I'm more a fan of the hardcore/metal hybrids.
Unearth are really good I think as are Shai Hulud although they tend more towards the hardcore side of things.
I'm not really sure what other metal bands I like...I'm sure there are more...mm, Bleeding Through, but they tend more towards the poser/fashion/metalcore side of things. xDD Still...
I like Speed, Death and Thrash metaql the most.
Metallica's latest album St. Anger sucked monkey balls! alot of retro harcore metal bands are falling one by one to this new slow poprock fad.

Wasnt St.Anger the only Album they had without guitar solo's?Originally Posted by Bladen

All it was slow metal guitars and heavy vocals and the drummer just making banging sounds on his drumset.

I think Metallica just put out St.Anger just for the sake of having another album, They should have done another Kill Em all album though

Or maybe they put it out to try something different. You can't expect someone to want to stay exactly the same for too long.
But in any case, ew Metallica.
Originality is good, kids.
Not much of a metal head, except for OPERA METAL. I do like Slayer a lot though.
Isn't that what drummers do?Originally Posted by Bladen

I would love to be happy, but unfortunately I'm too busy being awesome and kicking your ass at everything
all Ulrich does in St. Anger is make an occasional thump not actually drum the theme and stuff.
Anyway Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer dominated the 80's and 90's with they're music.
