X-3 might be a nice idea, but I think that for a sequel there is very little left n spira to make a story out of. They'd recycle places, people, and in the end, it might just be X-2 all over again....

Not necessarily... A 1,000 prequel would have Yu Yevon, Lene, Shuyin and Yunalesca but could have a lot more new people and new places (still intact at that time, later destroyed by Sin)

I have 2 threads in here with FFX 3 sequel ideas, one like you describe and another radically different. You have read my Fan Fic about it but I don't know if you and the others here have seen the discussion in this forum

When I did a prequel, it involved Yu Yevon, but only a passing mention of Lenne, Shuyin and others. Maechen on the other hand got quite a big role It also made refrences to places that are in ruins in the game as thriving cities

I wrote one too before I read yours. I actually finished and posted it at Fan Fic just a few days before you posted yours. It is a very interesting period for FFX buffs like me and you
Mine has aliens as the reason for the war and goes on into the first calm, after the war.
I wish I had thought of including Maechen like you did. He is a good character and you wrote about him perfectly!

You and the others who are tired of Spira don't want a sequel anyways. Just buy FFXII and move on.

Leave the sequels and prequels for us sentimentl fools who still want more of the FFX world.
