FF XI vs. World of warcraft

Um FFXI is very anime-ish, their eyes are very anime and some of the emotions of Humes and other races are very anime. Tarutaru and Mithra especially, and alot of Emotes mimic that.

im sorry but I disagree, take for instance when you first walk into Stormwind from the Elwynn forest side you are taken away by the scale of the city and the towering statue's, also that while FFXI does have a few entertaining emotes they in no way compare to WoW's emotes take for instance in WoW's if you type /silly your character will come out with an amuseing joke (and yes also he talks so you dont have to read the joke), the guild system I find is much better for recruiting as you dont have to go to the person to give them somthing, so that is also a lot easyer and hassle free. Also the griffons while you cant control them you can use them from a very eirly stage in the game (even at level 1 if you have the route open) tell me this when you walk into Sandy for the first time do you think, wow this place is breath takeing, while the answer may be yes for some of you but not all, I for one am one of the later people where as the first time you walk into Stormwind (and i have asked people this on WoW) 9 of 10 say the scenery is superb. While you may think I am championing WoW here I am not, graphics are nice but they in no way make a game, I prefer FFXI because of the gameplay and that is that.

Well obviously you cant compare a game that was released in 2002, that and you havent seen some of the breathtaking areas yet at all in COP.

They IMO blow out WoW, but thats me.

Some of the cutscenes are also very anime-ish, but if i say it, its going to be very spoiler..>_>; The rest of your post i cannot seem to find any relevance to what you quoted.

Anime-ish or anime-esc is say... R.O perhaps, due to the type of sprite toonish art.


FFXI takes a more realistic approach, lets just call it it's fastasy genre shall we?

Quoting a friend of mine who played FFXI, then went to WoW, then EQ2...then back to FFXI...

FFXI feels more party-oriented than WoW. Also, the hair looks better in FFXI than in WoW. Wavy...hair...waving in the wind....*blank stare*

Both are certainetly different games, targeted at different people. The reason why i feel more people say WoW is better is because its more casual and you can log in whenever you feel like and do something. I however find it boring as i seen many people say alot of the things are too damn easy to do, and FFXI doesnt reward laziness at all. FFXI is much more hardcore and more deep than WoW IMO, and requires much more teamwork and strategy to get the things done, and hence much more reward factor. Its also not centered on PvP and is much more on interaction between others and you.

very very true i like ff11 a lot better then wow for that reason
