Moby is someone who is better than Gwen. The song <i>South Side</i> featuring Gwen may be found on his <i>Play</i> CD.

Actually not. While South Side IS on Moby's Play album, it's not the version with Gwen Stefani. That wasn't released until later. I believe it was a single of it's own.

I never listened to No Doubt (or heard of them until Gwen went solo, and my friends all said 'I miss No Doubt') and that's why their songs don't count... because I don't know of them...

Actually, that doesn't make sense. She wrote most of those songs. Just because you never heard them, doesn't make them any more or less her music.

Why would she? She's made more fans and more profit now than ever before.

Maybe to have a respectable career that will last much longer than her being the flavor of the month? At least with No Doubt, her career had some possible longevity. Her current popstar status will only last til the teeny-boppers get bored and move on to a new flavor. She may be rich and famous now, but it's not likely to last.

I loved "Just A Girl" and she was brilliant in No Doubt. I do like her as a solo artist, although hearing some of the songs non stop annoys me.

One thing about her puzzles me: the four oriental girls who follow her EVERYWHERE and are in ALL her videos.

Those are her harajuku girls and she calls them Love, Angel , Music and Baby or just L.A.M.B for short. She has a song about them in her album which is one of my fave along with what you waiting for, cool and hollaback girl.

I did not realized she ACTUALLY owned some harajuku girls... Now her album makes more sense.

My CD has a 1999/2000 date on it. How old is yours?

I have a copy of play that has the not Gwen Stefani version of South Side, but it also came with a CD single of the South Side with her.
The Play CD has (c)1999 and the single says (c)2000.
