Quistis, Rinoa is boring and lame. Quistis is a real person, more rounded, more lovable. That scene where Squall was giving her the cold shoulder, I just wanted to give her a hug and some chocolate!

Rinoa was just joking with squall at the dance to make him come out of his shell. Rinoa's " flirts " are her ways of making Squall feel accepted. She wasnt "molding" him either, she was just trying to get Squall to come around. Rinoa throughout the whole story tries to get Squall to love again, and finally succeeds. No one else, not even Quistis could do that...

Quistis's attempts were pitiful though! And alot of girls have rebound relationships, because a lot of girls are slutty. She was just trying to get Squall to come around into behaving in a way which suited her.

Rinoa was trying to make Squall feel comfortable around her, she wasnt manipulating him. She was just being kind. She saw him in the corner by himself and decided to cheer him up. If being kind is slutty, then I guess Quistis and Selphie are too since they try to cheer up Squall also...

Rinoa is not a manipulating slut. She would not have sacrificed herself
after the ragnarok lands to keep those she truly cared about ( or loved, like squall ) safe if she was like that...

Rinoa is obviously a kind self sacrificing girl who really cared about Squall, enough to lock herself away from him forever if necessary to keep him safe.

And no, not all girls rebound because they are sluts. I think alot of them do it because they have been hurt and need someone they trust to be there to help them. I'm not saying some dont do it because they are sluts, just not the majority...

Trying to cheer someone up is not slutty, trying to cheer someone up (supposedly), by flirting is.

Rinoa knew they wouldn't just leave her, she was not intending on sacrificing herself.

They can have someone to trust who'll help them, without becoming romantically involved with them.
