Quistis's attempts were pitiful though! And alot of girls have rebound relationships, because a lot of girls are slutty. She was just trying to get Squall to come around into behaving in a way which suited her.

Rinoa was trying to make Squall feel comfortable around her, she wasnt manipulating him. She was just being kind. She saw him in the corner by himself and decided to cheer him up. If being kind is slutty, then I guess Quistis and Selphie are too since they try to cheer up Squall also...

Rinoa is not a manipulating slut. She would not have sacrificed herself
after the ragnarok lands to keep those she truly cared about ( or loved, like squall ) safe if she was like that...

Rinoa is obviously a kind self sacrificing girl who really cared about Squall, enough to lock herself away from him forever if necessary to keep him safe.

And no, not all girls rebound because they are sluts. I think alot of them do it because they have been hurt and need someone they trust to be there to help them. I'm not saying some dont do it because they are sluts, just not the majority...
