Is it Stray Cat?
Yep, it's Stray.
I bounce and bounce from side to side --That's its attack.
Far to the North, I'm very lucky, --Nordic Mythology: Cait Sith god of luck
But that's only in the East--It's Japanese name is Cait Sith
In the West I'm not too lucky,--In America
Because all I can do is wander for home.--It's a stray, it has no home.

Cool. Okay, I'm going to try to make a hard riddle here.
Forged of a beauty
Who could kill with a stare
Protection, I give you
To whom has great wisdom
Your going to have to think more outside the box with this riddle.
Your on the right track with Shoat and Break with the second line of the riddle but, it is not those answers. Think of what or who the last line could be.
Is it a relic or other piece of equip?
Okay, so I think it's the ragnarok sword (the 1 forged with the ragnarok esper). The sword is "forged" of a "great beauty" that can kill you "with a 'stare'"Originally Posted by Kain's_girl

"It must be amazingly fustrating to have invented something as great as sarcasm... only to have it be abused by amatures."

"I trust them both, and nothing else"

Nope and nope. I'll give a hint. This "equipment" comes from Greek Mythology.
It's the sword Ragnarok, forged from the Esper (Beauty who could kill with a stare).
NO! Ignore that answer! I confused Greek mythology with Norse mythology. I think it's athe Minerva Armour. It does boost your magic power (wisdom) by four and Minerva is the Roman version of the greek goddess Athene, who was said to be beautiful and wise.
