    Default Halo is now dead

I really wish I didn't keep the username 'Spartan III' upon joining this forum now. Halo already started going down mainstream lane a long time ago, but...

Halo 2 was like being shot in the face.

Halo: The Movie's announcement was a kick in the balls.

And now, this new Dead or Alive character, Nicole, who apparently MAGICALLY went back to a time without war, but yet spends her time beating up big-breasted ladies and then saying "Yah, and that's how it feels to be hit by a girl" when she defeats someone.

My point? They've ruined Halo for good. All those great memories of that awesome FPS shattered. An immense storyline that was in-depth, with amazing characters. It's all history now.

I want my username changed. I was going to change it to Spartacus, but I'm not sure. Coming to think about it, it sounds a bit, erm, how should I put it, homosexually-orientated?

I'll think of a username soon, I just don't want anything to do with Halo anymore.

The books are very good apparently.

To be honest, whenever I played it wasn't for the story, it was for the fact that the multiplayer is fantastic. The way I figure it, it should probably have just been released as a multiplayer game.

FPS games have never been the height of literature.

Looking at it now, yes, it should've definitely been released as a multiplayer game, rather than surrounding a few unfortunate gamers into an immense storyline, only to destroy it a few years later.

Yes, I did read the books. They were brilliant. But I think I'm going to sell them on eBay, or make a nice fire with them for this cold weather and record a video of it.

One thing I don't get is, why is the way it's become now destroying your view of how it was?

Just because it's horrible now, doesn't change that you enjoyed it in the first place.

So why do you want to distance yourself from it so much?

Halo's downfall is NOW! Get me out of this alias! *throttles* XD

EDIT: Lindy, what annoys me so much is how much Bungie have changed. Halo was originally for a bit of a niche audience, but then the fanbase grew and it became a true FPS. The books were awesome too and all was well. But then, for extra cash, Bungie screwed up the story with Halo 2. But the latest news was far worse. Trust me, you'd only understand if you were as much of a Halo fan as me.

I'm sure Loony BoB will let me as I know him a little. I still need to think of a good name first that doesn't involve Halo. Hmm.
