Unless the students pay for their internet, I can't see why a college shouldn't restrict the usage of the internet to sites of their choosing.
My work computer can't access MySpace either, but I'm not bothered. I just check it when I get home.

Its banned at my School too. So is EoFF actually. My School is evil.
I dunno about his college, but at my old one a lot of sites were banned because they ate a lot of the college bandwith or something like that.
