I said it two months ago that Texas was the better team and would win. Strider and JFA_Bobguy laughed at me and told me I was crazy. Vince Young is the best QB in the nation. Had you told me that two years ago I would have laughed. But he won this game. Leinart had gaudier numbers, but Leinart also has tons more weapons. Young won this game.

I'm not a Texas fan, and never will be, but I was rooting for them in this game, because I knew that they wouldn't let the state of Texas down.

    And they didn't.

    So...

    Hook 'em.

I had too choose between 2 teams that beat Michigan in last 2 Rose Bowls, I had to take Texas though because they were the heavy underdogs, and my cousin and best friend would constantly drill me on why Reggie Bush was gods gift to football. And I think Vince got snubbed for the Heisman with over 2,000 yards throwing and 1000 yards rushing. One of the best athletes in the world, I wish my sorry Lions could pick him up. Also over 400 all purpose yards 3 td's, and he went 30-40 on completions.

He can run, he can block, he can tackle, hell, he can walk ya dawg, mo ya lawn and paint ya back porch...AND HE CAN PASS!-L.V. Miles, Friday Night Lights

    USC has the prettier colors.

I don't really care about football, but the USC spirit is always so wonderful on campus, and I can't help but feel sorry that we lost the game (my fellow Trojans aren't being as mellow as I am about this). It was so close too! Oh well, I still think USC has the best team in the nation and everyone accepted the defeat with class. Also, Pete Carroll is freakin' awesome.

The Ohio State University next year will be in the Orange Bowl. Why? Because we run in a cycle and Jim Tressel is simply amazing. He is one of the greatest coaches in the top ten.

Anywyas, I was rooting for Texas and really didn't think they had a chance of winning until Half-time.

I didn't like how many calls that were not called by the refs. Little ridiculous.

The last time-out USC called was really stupid on their part to call. They should have waited until they had posession of the ball.

Either way, it was a great game.

I'm just glad USC lost because maybe now we'll stop hearing this talk like they were the best football team ever. I'm sorry that got on my nerves. And as much as I do't like Notre Dame, I think they got robbed earlier in the season of a win over USC as well, so they got what was coming to em. Plus Young should have got the Heisman...(He'll probably go to the NO Saints, and luckily, it's not like my team needs him, hehe)

I'd be very surprised if Young entered the draft. Mack Brown hasn't lost an underclassman to the NFL since he came to Texas. He convinced Roy Williams and Cedric Benson to stay.

Default Is *everyone* on the Longhorn's side?

The Notre Dame game was awesome, it almost made my heart stop. And USC deserved that win.

I feel bad that Matt and Reggie have to leave SC on this note, but I still love my Trojans, whether they're national champions or not.

And Vince Young is a freak of nature. I mean that in a good way.

    Fight on, Trojans.

Edit: Also, I'm kinda bummed because being on Campus after the Orange Bowl win last year was so much fun. Cardinal and gold balloons everywhere, hundreds of students sporting their Orange Bowl sweaters, people randomly chanting the fight song. It was a wonderful time and it's too bad I won't get to experience that again this year.

But as long as we can beat UCLA, it's all good.

HA this is in one of my friends profiel on AIM (he's originaly form Texas)
University of Texas Longhorns are the national champions. To all of you who thought that USC was going to kill UT you're all a group of idiots. 90% of USC's fans in New England are bandwagoning bitches. It's that simple. "oh no usc is teh 34-0 lets say they r teh best ever nd texus going 2 get killed LOLZ!" yeah well get that out of here, ESPN sports announcers May and Herbstreit thought that USC was arguably the best team in the history of college football, well you know what? smurf that, UT beat them in the Rose Bowl. (my quarterback had more rushing yards than you're heisman winning runningback!)

How is being in the Orange Bowl next year anything different from being in the Fiesta Bowl this year? The Fiesta Bowl will be the national championship game next season.

I usually don't folllow sports, but I happened to catch this game when nothing else was going on. I have no preference for teams when I watch games. I usually just hope the current losing team makes a great play to take the lead, then I hope the other team comes back and takes the lead again. Back and forth and so on. When I came in on this game Texas was losing and then I learned that USC was the previous champions and all that so I was hoping for Texas, and then in that last 19 seconds of the game I was kinda hoping that USC wouldn't come back so Texas would win. They did
