Look closer: he loses his grip on the tarp only because Reno uses him as a boost for his own climbing.

I believe that individually, Reno and Rude have their own brand of humorous potential... but the real comedic brilliance shines when they're both interacting. They are truly the ultimate duo, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
