Finally got Zanmato! Poss. Spoilers
Foolin around with my game, I decided to try and pay Yojimbo to raise affection. Well I had like 3 million gil, and offered all to him...nothin.
I offered 100K twice, and he nods his head. I was like....yeah!!!!!! BOOM Zanmato.
Anywho, for the spoiler. For those who don't want to spend a billion gil, when you do fight him, just block or whatever, and when his OD fills he will Zan you. Worth the death in my opinion

pay him 1000 gill every time you attack with him, his likeness for you will slowly go up for you, until well... they game is screwed because you dont actually get to battle because Zanmatos.

Same here, its a wasted attack. Every attack he does inflicts 99,999 points of damage so it doesnt matter what attack he uses or how much I pay him. Its all the same.Originally Posted by ffxfreak93

I would rather use The Magus Sister's Delta Attack or Anima's Oblivion and not pay a dime.They usually get the job done quite nicely...

Giving him even 1 gil could make him perform Zanmato, it's all a matter of luck...most of the time.
i gave him 5 gil(why should i pay him alot?he sucks anyway,i'd rather use anima)
and i got zanmato

It makes a big difference when you battle the monster arena bosses.

thats impossible... just to let you know... dont try to lie there is a formula that shows his willingness to perform Zanmato and performing it at 5 gil is impossible even if you have 255 compatibility with him
