I always got them wrong. Not in FF, but it happens alot in Lord of the Rings, for some reason.

Pronounced Cid as "sid" isn't incorrect. The Japanese just have the Cid/SeeD joke going because they don't have short I-sounds.

That's how your ment to say it. But I've gotten used to "Seefer",

i pronouce chocobo cho-ca-bo, but everyone else pronounces it as ch-co-bo.

And its Say-fer.

To fix this problem, I just say it how I want the first time and ignore anyone how says otherwise. I'm always right anyway, so what's there to discuss?

Yuff-ee. Which sounds much better. You-fee sounds like some fugitive Clown that strayed from the circus.

Similarly, they pronouce Aerith as "Aeris" hence the reason most people call her Aeris these days.

Same goes for Sephiroth -> Sephiros
