For the most part I own them all and may watch at my descretion, Mwahahahahaha!
Scrapped Princess, Fullmetal Alchemist, Ghost in the Shell and Trigun are all great. And sure you can call yourself an anime fan without seeing Akira, it's not that great.

appleseed is probably the best Anime movie.
Akira is not Rurouni Kenshin. It has a futuristic setting and is hella freaky, what with the uber-motocycles and throbbing UGLY FLESH THINGS. AHH!!! I haven't watched it in ages. I love it though.
And I hope you're not also saying that Samurai X sucks. Because it rocks. It rocks harder than the anime. Tenfold. xD

I watch to much to list them all. I'd probably forget tons of them as well. xD Some of my favorites are Elfen Lied, Noir, Slayers, and Gunslinger Girl though. Someday I might list what I've seen, but I'm always to lazy to do so when a thread like this comes along.
