    Default Completion Points for Mini-Games

I'm specifically wondering if you have to win Gunner's Gauntlet on the first try with 501 points or more to get completion points, or can you still get completion with several tries?

I got more than 500 points on the second try, got the Enigma Plate, but the percentage totals look the same.

And do the same rules apply for other mini-games you have to play to get completion points?

It's only worth 0.8% so its not going to change much. Once you beat 500 points and get a mission complete, then you've gotten the max percentage points you can get for besaid at that time.

I managed to go back and get 500 points on the first try.

This highlights a huge gaping flaw in the completion system: fractional % points are not shown. The numbers are rounded down to the nearest whole number, like in dressphere completion %.

The fractional points aren't shown, but they are there. If you have 45% and you just got .8%, it will still show 45, but if you get .2% more it will show 46. It isn't a flaw, more like an inconvenience.

    EDIT:

I'm not faulting the programming here, just the design.

You wouldn't even know if you got completion points until it passes the next whole number, and even then you wouldn't know by how much.

After a mission complete, you can try to increase your skill level at the gunner's gauntlet, but your percentage won't rise. However, if you manage to reach level 10, which is very difficult to do, you'll actually be given a special reward of the never-before-seen monsters thta will replace most of the other monsters!

They only apply if there is a special cutscene afterwards. In the case of Gunner's Gauntlet, I believe it does count. Also for the Sphere Break tournament. It doesn't count if you go back to Luca in Ch 5 and beat Shinra there for the Lady Luck dress sphere. It doesn't count for anything in the Calm Lands (except for the lump sum of points) and it doesn't count for the calibrating the lightning rods (thank god!). I can't think of other mini-games you get more than one shot at, but I don't recall any others counting for percentage on the first try.

I actually like the gunner's gauntlet. I think its fun. LOL. I mean, Its an easy game to play, all you got to do is press O, and then L1, and then X. I mean, its not that hard. Just attack before they kill you. And I dunno, In the guide book they show the percentages. I don't understand it. Its like .5%, so, just round it, and say it matters.

    Whatever. LOL.
Yeah, so what, I'm a chick that plays Final Fantasy. Not my fault my dad got me hooked when I was little. Started with Final Fantasy Tactics, and now I'm on Final Fantasy X-2... And I'm only 14!
