Well I've certainly made some progress, but I've cleaned up the code a bunch, and that's the big thing right now. I've made the game board 3 screens by 3 screens now, so that makes the game 21 x 21 tiles now. I've also changed the stats on the equipment so they vary a bit now. And after I did all this I cleaned up the code so that my current javascript file is 275k, whereas the old V4.1 javascript file (without as much content) is just over 300k.

Oh, are you going to do the inverted donut world of FF where every time you cross an edge you appear on the other side? That's always amused me so.
No, this world will have an ocean on all sides, ala Dragon Warrior I.
Also, I decided to make the world 5x5 screens now, so it's 33x33 tiles, or 1089 tiles total. :chef:
