For those of you that are wondering about the status of "This is a Game", it's going to be a couple of months until the next release. My plans for the next release are pretty ambitious so I want to take the time that's needed to make V5.0 as awesome as it can be.

A sneak peak of what I want to do:
- Magic and magic classes
- Add Magic stat (along with strength, agility and life)
- Add Magic monsters (battle either on strength or magic)
- Make the game board 3 x 3 screens now (i.e. 9 screens of 7x7 tiles, 9 times the current size)
- 4 elemental temples each with an elemental seal needed to complete the game
- equipment stats will vary (ala Diablo)
- character status screen
   - more equipment slots to hold extra weapons and armor and items
   - equip and deequip weapons, armor and items
- character save and load
- leaderboard for character rankings and bragging rights
- midi background music
- And a whole slew of more equipment, story items, quests, events, enchantments, etc...

As you can see I have big plans for the next release and I hope to make it a jaw-dropping release, or at least as jaw-dropping as I can. I'll post updates as time goes on and maybe toss in a teaser here and there.

Suggestion? Don't use any midi's that sound like you pulled something out of your fat hairy ass at the last minute. I hate those kind of midis. Use something with more class.

You should have some quests specifically for magical equipment and the like. That'd be cool.

Items that can heal and such'd be cool too.

And sidequests for weapons like Excaliber. You know, a super rare enemy that drops a certain item needed for it and only drops it 1/? of the time? Or a secret dungeon where you fight a bunch of Final Fantasy characters would be cool too.

That's true. I'd prefer it if it was a quest. Y'know, give "A" to Bob which gives you "B" for Reles, who gives you "C" for Spuuky etc. etc. etc.

Duly noted. I was thinking of using synths reminiscent of the first FF, actually, even though they're low in quality. Using dramatic MIDIs would overpower the feel of the game, I think.
