I love the single "9 Million Bicycles in Beijing" I think it's outstanding. The video is pretty cool as well. I did like her first album and "Closest Thing to Crazy" which was in a class of its own. So, what do you think about Katie Melua?
"Closest Thing to Crazy" is a wicked song. I have her latest album, but I havent listened to it all the way through.
She's ok

Closest Thing to Crazy was terrible.I like some of her new songs. Her hair is gorgeous.
She fits neatly into the category of bland Radio 2-friendly music that doesn't appeal to me in the slightest, but isn't popular enough to actually annoy.
So, a resoundingly average 5 out of 10 for Katie Melua.

All her songs sound similier IMO
She had a unique voice to begin with, but she needs to stop singing with this Mellow slow voice thats makes all her songs sound alike.
She needs to release some songs that break that genre, like what Charlotte Church did, actually, for god sake dont do that, but I hope she somehow gets the same impression as me.
Katie Melua uses the same voice in all her songs because it's her voice...(god that sounds stupid) I wouldn't like her music if it was different... (don't think so anyway...)
So very boring. It's not my type of music. 'Closest Thing To Crazy' put me to sleep a few times. She has got a voice, I wish she'd just use it better.
I think she is very talented, and makes some good and mellow music. Her sound is kinda a mixture between Eva Cassidy and Norah Jones. I personally like her much more than Norah Jones. Plus, she's extremely good-looking
She should do a duel with Michael Jackson!!
I like her music because it bring back memories and relaxes me.
To the person who called it "Radio - 2 music": You must have a different Radio 2 to me because when I used to listen to radio 2 they HATED her.
