Thread: FFT Riddles

Most characters have one of these,
I have one, but it is the smallest one in the game.
    In a battle, you usually won't see generics use these;
You'll see me in chapter 1, in a room with Delita and Ramza.

Who am I, and what are the "things" I'm speaking of?

Well, I know it's not completely battle related because Ramza and Delita are never in a room together in chapter 1 during a battle. I think all of chapter 1 battles are outdoors.

Jeez, I used to be good at this game! Seriously, there was a time when I considered myself educated in the ways of FFT... Dang...

Oh well, maybe I'll get the next one.

I'll reason that the "things" to which you refer are Support Abilities. The "smallest" of them would be Equip Change, at a cost of 0 jp. Algus comes ready with Equip Change already learned, and we see him in a room with Delita and Ramza in Ch. 1.

Haha, nice guess Despotus. But anyone, generic or not, could use equip change in a battle. This "thing" is completely unique to the character, nobody else in the game has it.

Hint 1: (SPOILER)In the one scene where you see me, three generics, Ramza, Delita and I all use these things, but of course mine is much smaller than everyone else's.

    Is it word balloons?

The first scene in Gariland Academy has a conversation between two generics, then between Delita and Ramza. And Knight comes in and makes a speech and then another female Knight comes in and whispers something to the other Knight. All she says is '...' and it fills a very small word balloon.

Murond Death City? / Murond Holy Place?
If that's wrong I'm about to look through the propositions....

It's nothing to do with Murond.

Any reason you typed it backwards? Just trying to be fancy? Or does that actually have some significance perhaps??

I think it may be significant. I'll guess you're referring to Nogias, BG. That's "Saigon" spelled backwards and is the first level in the Deep Dungeon. The D.D. is underneath an old lighthouse. That's probably what the "under the light" line refers to.

    Bah, I've been foiled again!

Only two levels of Deep Dungeon have names that are other words spelled backwards. But Mlapan is napalm, which is not the name of a city.

    Your go Moriarty!

Something about Balk's poison gas, and Ramza saves everyone by releasing the water at Bethla Garrison?
