Umm, in chapter 2 he is called "Ramza Ruglia", not "Ramza Beoulve", so I thought that's what you may have been getting at.

I see...well no, nothing tricky like that in this riddle. What I mean is you never actually SEE this character in chapter 2, but he/she appears in the others.

If the character with Archer reaction isn't Zalmo (with Arrow Guard), is it Zalbag (with Speed Save)?

What I will do is edit the lines to make it a bit easier. (Also I added one.) And also, all of the things are different, so for example Zalbag wouldn't be the answer to more than one line. Also, refresh my memory, what guest joins with a zorlin shape?

Off the top of my head I can only think of two bosses with an archer reaction ability, and you've already named them both, that's a pretty massive clue...

I'm not sure anyone does, I was trying to see if a Z theme fit, since Z names are rare. And both Zalmo and Zalbag have Archer reaction abilities equipped at one point in the game.

A character who appears in all chapters except 2, (Zalbag)
A monster that cannot enter water and can attack with random damage (Hydra)
A boss with an archer's reaction ability (Zalmo)
An accessory that comes equipped on a guest when they join you.(Chantage?)
An ability from the chemist class costing 400 jp (Holy Water?)
