disconnection

All right so as many of you know people get disconnected during game play. Is there anyway to stop it? I heard putting your router up into your room by your computer will do it. Is there anyway else?

I have no idea how to stop it.

I play on a wireless network, so it's pretty touch and go for me sometimes. Which is not good when I'm playing as a WHM.

I play on dialup and never get disconnected. o_O

Yeah I think I'm doing the same. Right now I'm a whitemage and this past week I've been getting disconnected so many times It's not funny. And I've re-set my router so much which is downstairs... thanks for your kindess.

I'm also playing on dial-up, and I think I've been disconnected maybe once total.

Pfft, my router is right beside my computer and I disconnect so much it's not even funny.

I guess having more than one computer on at a time (on a router) will cause you disconnect alot. I have 5 computers on all the time on my router, so I go through a lot of disconnecting ... it's horrible. >:(

Dunno, moving the router worked wonders for me. The router used to be downstairs and I used to get booted all the time. Then I moved it up to my room and hooked it up to my computer; now I only get disconnected when someone is downloading a significantly large file.

d/c is terrible. it usually happens once every 4 -5 hours less/more. well, MNKs just come and go...

it's much worse when the server freezes and there is no way out of that. then again -> virus problem. before that i would most often unfreeze.
