There are ways to make Eidolons more powerful/perform different actions by collecting items. Name these items and their effects on the eidolons.

Odin- Ancient Aroma, if he doesn't kill an enemy he does wind damage.
Carbuncle- Moonstone, Emerald, Diamond, Has different good status effects on party.
Fenrir- Ancient Aroma, Does wind damage instead.
Dagger and Eiko- Pumice Piece, Makes eidolons do whole scene.
Other Eidolons- get alot of that stone/item to do more damage.

All of them. Set it out like this.

[Eidolon Name] + [Item Name] = [Effect]

    I know some....

Carbuncle + Diamond, Moonstone, Emerald = protect, shell, reflect and vanish can be cast base on the stone you used

Fenrir + Maiden Prayer = Cause Wind Damage, Millenial Decay.

Odin + Ancient Aroma = Gives Odin's Sword ability to Dagger which increases the chance of killing the enemies, about giving the wind damage, I don't know since I'm not putting Dagger in my party (I put Eiko). I only read the description.

Pumice Piece + Summoners = They call forth an Eidolons with full scene

Phoenix + Phoenix Pinion = every phoenix pinion will add 2% of getting auto-life phoenix (just guessing, I heard it somewhere)

Leviathan, Ifrit, Ramuh, Shiva, Bahamut, Atomos, Madeen and Ark damage maybe depends on their stone.

Leviathan power + Aquamarine = dmg.
Ifrit power + Topaz = dmg.
Ramuh power + Peridot = dmg.
Shiva power + Opal = dmg.
Bahamut power + Garnet = dmg.
Atomos power + Amethyst = dmg.
Madeen power + Ribbon = dmg.
Ark power + Lapis Lazuli = dmg.

I'm just guessing, don't take it seriously.

Carbuncle, Leviathan, Ifrit, Ramuh, Shiva, Bahamut, Atomos, and Ark are correct.
    You're missing something for Fenrir.
    You're missing something for Odin.
    Phoenix and Madeen are wrong.

I remember some, I don't know if it correct.
according to my last post, I only got Odin, Madeen, Phoenix and Fenrir wrong.

Odin power + Ore = chances of killing, if you equip Ancient Aroma, he will do non-elemental damage to enemy (with dagger Odin's sword ability)

Fenrir power + Sapphire = dmg. = both on wind and earth attack need sapphire

Phoenix power + character spirit = max HP recovered, auto-phoenix ability
256 phoenix pinion for the confirm auto-phoenix but that's impossible.

    Madeen power + Eiko's level = dmg.

Oh yeah, about the Carbuncle, haste can also be cast.

Since I can't think of more, I might as well take some from the web:

    PHOENIX
    Rebirth Flame: Normal Version.
Eiko summons Phoenix to inflict a small to moderate amount of fire-elemental damage on all enemies, while all KO'd allies are brought back to life with (30 + their Spirit stat)% of their Max HP recovered. The amount of damage and HP recovered is weaker if the shortened version of the summon is activated.

    Rebirth Flame: Auto Version.
This summon ability is activated when all characters are KO'd. Eiko consumes no MP to have a chance at reviving all characters with (30 + their Spirit stat)% Max HP recovered, however no damage is done to the enemy. The chance of this happening is equal to the number of Phoenix Pinions in your inventory ÷ 256.

    ODIN
When Odin is summoned either one of two things will happen. Note though that the following attacks will be weaker if a shortened animation occurs.
    1) He will causes instant death to each enemy with a chance of (#Ores in stock ÷ 2)%. If that fails, Odin will miss.

    2) If Garnet is equipped with the Odin's Sword ability, then Odin will inflict non-elemental damage on all enemies that survived his instant death attack. (Spell power = 142 - #Ores in stock).

    Eidolon: Trance Version (0 MP)
After being summoned, a shorter animation will activate at intervals to cause non-elemental damage on all enemies. This continues until Garnet uses another Eidolon. (Spell power: 49)

If I'm happen to be right, you just take the turn over again, I'm not feeling very good these day.

Did you get that from ffonline? Their Phoenix information is wrong. If you work it out using what they said, the chance of Phoenix activating automatically is 0.38617875%, which is ridiculous.

    here, I take from GameFAQ

    Let's look at
Phoenix. Now as I said in the Summons section of this guide I said that Phoenix
can revive KOed party members. He does this when you use him to attack. But he
can come to your aid when all of your party is KOed. Yes, just like the Phoenix
and Final Attack Materia combo in FFVII, Phoenix can save you. Now for Phoenix
to do this you need to have at least 1 Phoenix Pinion. But it is a very little
chance that you will revive someone with 1 Phoenix Pinion. The formula below
    shows how it goes.

    No. of Phoenix Pinions / 258 * 100

So you divide the number of your Phoenix Pinions by 258 then multiply that by
    100. This gives you the percent chance to revive a party member. If you have 1
Phoenix Pinion you only have a 4.2% percent chance. If you have 99 Phoenix
Pinions you have a 38.3% chance.
