The Blood Sword - Useful or Useless?

How is the blood sword supposed to work?
Is there a reason for the low accuracy?

It seems to only hit when the user has less than full health...anyone else have this problem/effect?

I've never had any luck with it. I guess you could use !Aim.

I love the bloodsword. There are two to be found in final fantasy V. They can't be relied upon when used on their own but are very useful when used in conjuction with Aim or Sshot/x-fight. Hold two bloodsords and use Aim and they will both hit with 100% accuracy and restore the user to full health. As you progress in the game, better weapons with a higher attack power become available and the bloodswords won't be as useful for inflicting damage (though will still restore you enough HP to not have to heal for that character,) But at this point you would of learned Sshot/x-fight and by holding both bloodswords and using Sshot/x-fight, you will hit an oponent 8 times which is sufficient damage and full healing
