So I just bought Steel Battalion and I must say it rocks! For those of you who don't know Steel Battalion is that crazy expensive game with a controller that has 2 joy sticks and over 40 buttons as well as 3 foot pedals. It is a mech game in the style of Mech Warrior or battletech.

I think they way they have set up the way you control a mech in this game is the best I have ever played. It makes rotating your upper torso easy to control for once. It is hard to get use to but it is so awesome. I am going to buy the online game 'Line of Contact' as soon as I beat this game and get good at it. I don't want to jump into the online fanbase as a noob and get slammed left and right.

One of the reasons I bought this was because they removed battletech from Dave and Busters across the nation. That was a mech simulator to the point where you get into a pod that simulates the cockpit. With this game my friends and I(if they buy one) can just wail on each other online for probably a lot cheaper than what we occasionally spent on battletech.

It really is one great mech game and I think probably the best one ever made. Don't let the 40 buttons get to you. About 10 of them are used to just start up, another 5 or so are used for communication with your squad and then there is your manual transmition(no clutch though). I wish they would give this game more support but given that it cost so much I can see why they wouldn't(too small of a fan base).

If you have any questions fire away.
