Thread: Neo-Demiforce and The Prototype

    Default Neo-Demiforce and The Prototype

I made this for two reasons

1.I want to see which translation people like better, (that RPGone translation is not very popular so I am not including it.)

    I prefer the Prototype...

    2. Dammit, I can't find any walkthrough's for the prototype, why!? Link me one, I tried to look but I can't find a single one!

I'm talking NES... I was considering adding those... but decided I just wanted to see if people preferred Demiforce over the official translation, AND TRY TO FIND A DAMN GUIDE!!!

You probably can't find any guides fitted for the prototype translation because, y'know, no one uses it.

    They're both crap.

The demiforce translation seriously dropped the ball when it came to the names of things.

The spell that deals poison damage was named AERO
The spell that stuns enemies was named STON
The spell that removes temporary status ailments was named PEEP
There is no visible difference between armors and cuirasses of the same composition.

I don't mind creative liberties, but they translated certain things so badly that it has seriously confused people over the years.

The prototype was just about the most engrish-ridden thing ever made.

    ...Except FFVII...

And they called Beelzebub "Satan." That's just plain ignorant.

Not as ignorant as renaming the Goblin Prince "DesAngel"...

How many swords could sword chucks chuck if sword chucks could chuck swords? Same goes with Nuns! :rolleyes2
