Angry Crappy films based on historical tragedies/events

Come one people, let's list some of the most crappy films that are based on historical tragedies of any sort that spit on those that died. Titanic and Pearl Harbor are two of the biggest examples.

Titanic, although I thought was decent, was a over blown soap opera that takes place in 1912 that's modernized by Leo and Kate's characters. Bad dialogue that's not even close to how people would talk in the early 20th century. Half decent ass story, crappy screenplay, mediocre acting too. While I apperciate how Cameron was able to recreate the Titanic disaster, the film still doesn't do justice to the actual event. I cannot stand how it stereotypes the British to be rich, arrogant, spoiled, inconsiderate, selfish, ''holier than thou'' human beings either nor the strange absense of 2nd class too. I could go on, but I'll save it for Pearl Harbor.

Pearl Harbor I hate the most because it does NOTHING for the actual event. Nothing, nothing about I like. The love triangle, like Titanic's love story, is pathetic and unrealistic. 100% cheese and nothing emotional. At least with Titanic, it's half understandable, but this, this is blowing it out of proportion. Especially when the backdrop is a war event too.

So, what are your least favorite movies based on any historical event?

Crossroads. Although in this case, the movie WAS the historic tragedy.

Pearl Harbour. It hurt me so much, even though I only could bear to watch 15 minutes.
This subliminal message could be meant for YOU. But it's probably not. Move along ;D

Quite right. I guess the Director/Actors decided to mock the Bible for no apparent reason.

I liked Cuba Gooding Jr's part in Peal Harbor, but that was about it.

And I enthusiastically second votes for The Passion of the Christ.

    I liked Titanic =(

One thing thats coming to mind is "Elephant" that was based on Columbine High. It had 4 stars and "Powerful" written all over the cover (Literally by the way). It might have been powerful when the piano played while the messed up kid played the messed up murder massacre video game but it was boring and if a movies boring its not a good movie.

Yeah, Titanic, it's just an emo film.

Most films based on events usually end up being emotionally exagurated, that's why movies like Alien and stuff are good and Emo films suck.
