Without a guide, it can take a while to fully understand the scope of how powerful you can be with the junction system.

Adel is rather fast. I remember my first time playing through the game, I went into battle, she hit me with a Meteor, before I could heal everyone she hit me with another Meteor, KOing someone. Right after I revived that character she hit him with Flare and KOed him again. I spent the entire fight healing until Adel used Ultima and KOed everyone. I tried this four more times, and despite my different strategies the fight went about the same everytime. I was stuck. At that point in the game, I didn't have nearly all the spells I could have had (because a powered up Ruby Dragon is scary and gets a Degenerator in the face before I have time to draw ), nor did I have but one GF with Spd-J, and I had been normally leveling up through the whole game, I think Squall was at level 100 at this point. So Adel was probably at her highest level, and I didn't have but one character with Spd-J, nor did I have the proper spell to fully max Spd in the first place. On my second playthrough, I got the hang of item refining and low levels combined with stat up skills and all that fun stuff, and the game got much easier. But if you don't understand the minute intricacies of the junction system, then the game becomes harder.

I have had Phoenix revive me against Adel once. Pheonix revived me against Omega twice, but didn't come through a third time. And that's about it.

Theres your problem buddy There is a speed junction scroll in lunatic pandora i'm certain. Whoever has the speed junction can simply cast haste on the other two. Geeze, never go against a boss without haste :rolleyes2

You don't need a Spd-J Scroll. Cerberus, Eden and Pandemona each have Spd-J, so just junction them to different characters.

SRL said he hadnt learned it by that time in the game. i was simple pointing out that at the point where he needed it, it was sat right next to him on a scroll

Well, first as I said earlier I didn't have the right spell to make Spd that much better than it was. Second, Adel always got the first move and clobbered me, leaving me no other choice but to keep healing. It's kind of pointless to cast haste on a KOed character. And as I also said earlier, at the point in understanding the game I didn't know that you could get GFs to learn things they weren't set to learn. :rolleyes2 And yes you are right, there is a Spd-J scroll in Lunatic Pandora, but you had to do something in Laguna's second dream that I didn't do to get it.

LOL did i have to do something to get that spd scroll? it was just their for me, so whatever needed doing, i must have done it So like, you didnt pick up ANY time magic before Adel? Stop, haste, double or triple would have worked. Or what about time magic refine didnt you have that? I'm tempted to go fight the bitch without any speed junctions now quite a few people have said they've had problems with her. Maybe i'll have a bit more respect for her if i take her on, with a handicap and find out how difficult she is

I've never seen Phoenix, but I think I wasn't wiped out more than 4 or 5 times. You should go to a casino .

Has anyone else had this kinda *luck* with Phoenix?
Its only happened a few times with me.
