British humour is about the use of understatements, word games, none-sense and stuff like that. It can be either very stupid and simple, or very sophisticated, yet the origins remain the same.

Phoenix nights, Peter Kay, Road To Nowhere, Catherine Tate.. None of them are insulting. Peter Kay is definatly British. How is "Clicking her fingers and shuffling her feet singing [Ooh ma dee dee diddi dum diddee doo] She looked good [She looked good] 'ow?" insulting ;P

Little Britain, however much I love it, Is ever so rude sometimes. They are racist in some bits
