What level do you have to be for this sort of tactic to work? Roughly? Cos that sounds like the sort of thing I do in most boss fights anyway.

i dont see any particular level that this tactic requires.but if you insist,i guess 50+ should be enough.i mean,ozma would not even last two rounds,its hp being 55000 only.

Are his items any good? Are they worth stealing?

i didnt die.i stole all those items.took quite a long time though,even with bandit and master thief equipped.

I use Zidane/Dagger/Vivi/Steiner.
Hooray for the original team!

No there is a reason I use this party.
Zidane-Main character,can't switch him out.But he has a good attack and speed.
Garnet-White magic and eldions for damage.
Vivi-Black magic=Good.
Steiner-Best physical attack in the game IMO.

Oh ok. That's not as bad as I thought. However, when I tried it before he cast mini on everyone which didn't help, and he can kill everyone in one go. I'm guessing Ark Summon would be a good plan too?

Also, since you mentioned it as part of the tactics, how do I get Dragon's crest to do 9999 every time?

Kill 100 dragon type enemies and Dragon's Crest will do 9999

Whilst we're on the subject, what do Cherry Blossom and Dragon's Breath depend on?

Cherry Blossom is 50% stronger than a normal attack and increases in power as Freya's Spirit stat is raised.

Dragon's Breath will deal damage equal to the amount of HP the target has lost. The damage is capped at 9,999.

hence,the white magic "mini".you have it too,so go and use it.when ozma casts mini,use mini on your party members,and they'll be back to normal.in short,mini cancels mini.

with auto-regen equipped,yes,summoning ark is pretty much a good idea.

Ark will heal Ozma unless you have found and satisfied all the friendly monsters. I wouldnt really use him anyways unless you have him powered up with a bunch of Lapiz Luzily (sp?) I just go with Zidane's Theivery, Freya's Dragon's Crest, Quina's Limit Glove and Frog Drop, and any other person using a Dark Matter

My ultimate mega super death party is Zidane, Steiner, Quina, Dagger.
Frogdrop = 9999 dmg
Darkside + Excalibar (? the target all attack) = Lots (can't remember)
I think you have to have Zidane and Dagger does all the healing + Ark if memory serve me ^^

steiner- shock ability.
Vivi- use flare
Zidane attack- equip mp attack, that ability rocks balls
Dagger- just heal. and use summons if u want


oh yeh when fightin ozma equip vivi with return magic and the battle ends pretty quickly.
