How in the 7 hells do you get them?

Pink Puffs drop them. They are found in a certain room in the Lunar Subterrane. There is a 1/64 chance of encountering them in that room, they travel in groups of 5 and each has a 5/64 chance of dropping an item and a 1/64 chance of that item being a Pink Tail. In other words, it's real hard. Use Sirens to track them down easier.

Eh I'm not sure how to explain it. If you are playing FFIIUS, there's nothing in there at all, if you are playing any of the other ones, there's a Red Fang in there.

If you're playing FF4 Advance, then the pink puff is replaced my the Flan Princess if you're trying for Pink Tail. As usual, use Sirens to track them down easier.

Yeah, someone explain the Alarm /Siren trick, I think it's really useful (I'm not the one who can do this best).

Have Edge steal Alert/Siren's from the Alarms in the Giant of Babil. I got about 250 of them, and used every single one in the room with the Pink Puffs/Flan Princesses and didn't get a Pink Tail though. It's all about luck.

I always save before going to the room and then use my sirens to get the pink puffs and try for a pink tail. If I don't get any, I reset the game. I also know that in FF4 Advance there is a monster in the Cave of Trials on Mt. Ordeals that you can get sirens from.

I've not even seen a pinkpuff in the original FFIV Hardtype. And now they changed the creature in FFIVA? *sigh* One more door to unlock.
