For earlier in the game:
Shiva - quick, has blizara to cure herself (unlike bahamut for e.g)
and is certainly the best looking aeon.
However for power it has to be anima, best overdrive, and you can have fun maxing his stats and abilities (unlike yojimbo and magus)

Top Three (in no particular order):
Anima-Best looking, and she is the only one with a known backstory, and a decent backstory imo
Bahamut-He rocks, is the first to have BDL, and the kid Fayth is a great character
Shiva-Cool looking.
Bottom Three (in no particular order):
Valefor- Quite dull
Ixion- Again quite dull
Yojimbo- I really don't want to be paying him gil...
mine is anima. it may not be as strong as the magus sisters in some cases but it looks so much cooler and its overdrive is brilliant. i dont like yojimbo because after using zanmato on most of the bosses it makes me feel cheap.bahamuts probly my second favourite. although on this game he looks sorta weird hes the main aeon and is a good character.

mine would be anima, her overdrive rocks, she's a woman (though not one you'd want to score with!?), and using yojimbo just takes the fun out of it.
