I tend to agree with this. Now days it's become e-cool to bash FFVII. Of course, FFVII players kind of brought this on themselves with there fanboyism and constant bashing of FFVIII over the years.

Good you have an opinion but it's not fact so don't state it like fact. Also Lychon what you said was nuts- no one had compared the two so what you said was irrelevant. Also like him everything you say is also stated as fact. FFVIII is something wonderful for some horrible for others- and that's okay. It's not divine inspiration to him it's something boring. Your opinion isn't fact. You should be able to accept that people might dislike FFVIII because for some people it doesn't work. Not because there holding on to something else and don't want to admit it's better.

I never stated my response as fact. I deliberately stated "as far as I am concerned," in my previous post. It is fact to me, but unlike Cloud_Vivi, who states his post as "this is the truth," I never said "this is fact" or "this is the truth." Show me where I stated this and I will admit my previous post was unfounded. Most people know that whenever someone says something, it is their opinion, and it is not necessary for them to say "this is my opinion."

On the other hand, the little troll Cloud_Vivi states "this is the truth." And since most people I've encountered who vehemently hate Final Fantasy VIII in this manner are connoisseurs of Final Fantasy VII, I assumed that Cloud_Vivi was one of those individuals. As we can all see, the little troll has disappeared from the forums, as a troll often does after planting their "stink jem" post. So even though your defense of his post is understandable, IMO (that's IN MY OPINION) it is flawed.

I like FF9 AND FF8. They are both good. Maybe your to little to undrestand the advanced mechanics ( and brilliance ) of the junction system. And because FF8 is harder to get used to than FF9, you bash it. Ive beaten FF7, 8, and 9, FF8 was the deeper one of the three IMO. If I can "suffer" through FF7, you should at least "suffer" thorugh FF8 and actually BEAT it before making immature statements about something you know nothing about.

I have played ALL final fantasys to the end, and I can say that 7,8 and 9 are among the best.
