Lychon: Of course you never stated that exactly (this may be just another wild attack but that response felt quite manipulative- you never said it explicitly but the imperious manner definitely sounded like it). I will now go through a more specific attack. But first I'll admit that I think I phrased what I was saying wrong, and the specific attack I made had faults.

This isn't necassarily fitting in with the attack you responded too, but I'm pointing out that you consider someone who dislikes FFVIII to either be in denial or to be a troll. You do say this is your opinion but you also only give two possibilities for a disliker to be (also it looks like from the Squall vs. Cloud thread you're quick to make this type of assumption).

Just because Final Fantasy 8 came along and crushed the very foundations of your beloved FF7, does not instantly mean you should turn bitter and start roaming the internet to squander its greatness.
Again I will note this strikes as an irrelevant attack on him, as a comparison with FFVII had not been mentioned, it looked like you assumed it must be there as there was no reason for you to make that connection- this is where it felt you were claiming it as fact. You don't need to say "this is my opinion" but how this is written looks like it's making a large assumption and not giving room for anything else... and that's what I meant (though it seems like it didn't come out well) to say. That kind of assumption looks like your stating what you think as fact to me. Writing is tricky because while you never stated in explicitly it's absolutely there- however you could defend yourself as long as you wanted by claiming this is opinion and you never said it wasn't. I would respond it's still irrelevant and you're still making a huge assumption (that he only hates it because he loves FFVII), perhaps saying you were claiming that was fact was going too far but it was close.

Oh by the way I thought his post was meaningless and pointless I just thought your response was an imperious, irrelevant attack and when someone calls it "beautiful" it seems manipulative. Mainly though I just wanted to shut down the person who called it beautiful.

And to respond to Cloud Vivi, would you care to respond to any posts? If you just don't like it that would be fine but I for one would like to hear reasons. Yes you do have a right to an opinion but what you stated doesn't look like opinion "its just rubbish ok" does not come out like an opinion. It sounds like you're telling us what it is.

Edit: And after seeing your last post: people CHANGE, I thought FFIX was okay the first time I played it, after two it was good and after 3 I loved it. Call it rubbish when you've just experienced said rubbish. But if you just don't like it that's fine too- I just don't see the point of telling everyone you don't like it without any reasons or much of a topic.
