Also, the "CLoud blasts Sephy with Omnislash" thing in the end is CHEESY. WAY CHEESY.

Plus, even in FFVIII you feel attached to some characters. Even I, that used to hate this game deeply (well, I still hate Squall o_o) got pretty emotional after you defeat Raijin and Fujin by the first time. The whole "Seifer has followers, but we are his only friends" thing.

In FFVII, I can't feel attached to anyone. I can't really cry about Aeris' death (actually it is the opposite), or when Cait Sith blasts himself to help the party. Or any emotional scene at that game. FFVII is just like a bad movie: you watch, you want to know the ending, even if it is bad, and etc, you watch it until the very end. After the ending, you don't care about the movie anymore. It is same with FFVII, IMO.

Man, my first Final Fantasy was FFVII, and I looooved it, I played it till the end and all and I still loved it. Then I wanted to get into the series, so next I bought FFVIII, and I have to say I liked it more. Just the fact that I could connect to the characters more than in FFVII, and even tho FFVII is still one of my favorites, FFVIII is just like my ultimate favorite. Also true, about the fact that Cloud doesnt admit his love for Tifa, its just like. OMFG DUDE ADMIT IT ALREADY. And also the grpx are a wayy bigger improvement in FFVIII, and it seems more realistic. I basicly just connected with the FFVIII characters, and in my opinion they actually showed emotions, not that FFVII didnt, but I would say it didnt show as much. Whatever anyways FFVIII ROCKS !!!
