Maybe when 8 had just come out, and the FF7 fanboys began proliferating all kinds of crap about it on the internet. But nowadays, VIII has definetely become one of the most talked about and appreciated additions to the Final Fantasy universe.

I forgot about the soundtrack and it was GOOD...and FFVII wasn't great in my opinion...and I DID finish the game for your information!!! :rolleyes2 (not like it was worth finishing... )

You did not finish the game. Moving on, to other thing you stated is when you said the characters were horrible when I hear you going on and on about Vincent and Reno. Just admit it it's a great game. Besides, you would have never played Final Fantasy if it wasn't for me.

FF8 is better than FF7, because Squall is in fact more powerful than Cloud. Yes, weep for it is true.

Squall's renzokuken lionheart attack does WAY more damage than Cloud's omnislash. Well...?

I DID FINISH THE GAME!!! AND I started playing Final Fantasy ON MY OWN!!! I decided I wanted to play it after I found out Squall was in FFVIII, cause I liked him so much from Kingdom Hearts, and that's where it all began...I admit I recall hearing you talking about it, but you never influenced me on the decision to actually play it. That was ALL ME!!! :grinpink: And stop changing the subject, and stop trying to act like you're superior to everyone.

If I play both of them right now, FF8 is definitely better because it's more modern and advanced.

But FF7 had a bigger impact then FF8 when I first played. Meaning...I played FF7 first, was AMAZED, played FF8 was amazed, but not as much shock factor as FF7 because that was just the standard. FF8 was just the improvement.

You were annoyed at people in the begining of this thread for just saying "FFVIII is the best!!!" and giving no reasons, and yet you're doing it now for FFVII. Why don't you give us some actual reasons why you think it's so better, because I would really like to know what's so special about it.

There will never be a game that's perfect. We all like different things, and different kinds of games. The only perfect game for you would only be if you made it yourself perfectly how you want it. Both games had flaws. Like I typed before: No game is perfect. Sadly.

FF8 had some of the most inovative ideas in FF since ATB. However, so did FF XI and XII. These are being critisiced for being different or inovative in some way. XI for bein online, XII for removing the random battle.

We know no game is perfect...:rolleyes2 Final Fantasy VIII is my favorite game, but no, it's not perfect. (close to it though... ) This is a matter of which one you liked more, not which one was perfect. Nobody ever metioned that either was "perfect".

I agree, both a great games. 7 is just better and I've already stated my reasons why in the above post.

I personally thought FFVIII had A LOT more than FFVII...I'm sorry but the whole thing was WAAAY too predictable!!! Especially the ending...come on, it's obvious that the meteor would be destroyed, and Sephiroth would be defeated. But what I REALLY hated was that Cloud & Tifa never confessed their love for each other!!! I mean, I was never really into the game, but that is what made me dislike it even more...
