1. Stinky main cast? At least they werent rejects who practically from the same damn orphange.

2. Way too predictable? FFVIII was also, as with every other FF! ZOMG, HEROES GO AND FIGHT TEH EVILNEESSS LAWL. *coughs* I'm right.

3.They made a smurf up with that sequel, x-2. It was about Yuna complaining about not having her Tidusy with her /sarcasm

4.The only reason why FFVIII doesn't get a sequel is because it's not worth it - FFVII still had a lot of stuff to be cleared up - BC is sorting out the whole Turk history, I think, LO was mostly about Zack, AC...let's skip that, that was just fanservice for cloud fans. DC is uncovering more about Vincent Valentine, because his story was very important, and for some God for saken reason, he was made a secret character.

Cloud was just as "cold" as Squall ever was, "As soon as this job is over, Im gone!" wow, :rolleyes2 and people complain that Squall is rude. 2. I have to agree that all FF's are predictable, but what FF8 did was take the primary focus off of the bad guy and to focus on the love between Squall and Rinoa.

3.The only REAL reason FF8 doesnt have a sequel, is because there is nothing else to tell. FF8 ended perfectly, there was no plot holes, whining characters ( name some in FF7 ), everything wrapped up perfectly. Why mar a tightly finished masterpiece with a second rate sequel. The reason FF7 needs sequels is because the character development was so poor in FF7 that they need two more games and two more movies to explain them.

Oh my eventhough I loved FFX and most of it's characters I have to admit Square was high when they were making X-2...it was horrible. I couldn't help but laugh everytime one the characters opened their mouth. The characters for 7 didn't suck (cept' Yuffie) some of them could have been more developed but then again that's what Advent Children is for. Which by the way (I'm addressing several people now) is a sequel and 7 has many other games coming out for it, because it's so popular. Neither 10 or 8 can touch that. Oh by the way Noj_R the characters in 8 aren't real.

Agreed, Quistis was a crappy character. They could have done better. Should have made her stand up to Squall. And Rinoa is...*ahem* how should I put this "special" with her "talent". She was with Seifer then turns around and dates his rival. That's ridiculous. Both are horrible characters. Quistis is just worst, because she lacked a personality.

People loved 7 so much they wanted more, but Square wanted to give 8 such a long ending, because they did not want to waste anymore time on it, or a sequel. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Okay, here's my trash talk...

1. No, the FFVII cast were people with no personality. I wouldn't even call them people...they were SOOO emotionless. (except maybe Tifa) FFVIII cast weren't rejects. Just cause they came from the same orphanage doesn't mean that the FFVIII cast were rejects. Honestly, if you think FVIII cast was rejects, then FFVII cast is the dirt we walk on. I have never seen stinkier cast than them. There are a few exceptions though.

2. FVIII kept you guessing, with Ultimecia pocessing people and stuff, and Rinoa in a coma, and lots of other things. FFVII was all over the place, and when there was a problem, the answer to it was too predictable.

3. Doesn't matter if X-2 was a mess up or not. Square obviously thought it was good. It is 1st FF sequel whether it was bad or not. End of story.

4. FFVIII didn't need a sequel because IT WAS TERRIFIC THE WAY IT WAS!!! :kaohappy2 I feel sequels ruin the feel of the game. I thought FFVII was fine the way it was. They could have easily added some of the answers to the unanswered questions in the game. There really was no need for a sequel.
