I will have to admit, the only good thing about FFVII was the soundtrack. NOT AS GOOD AS FFVIII's THOUGH!!! Everything else pretty much sucked...

First you say nothing is good in it then you change your mind. But can not face the reality that 7 is a great rpg. Period..whether you liked it (eventhough you didn't finish it) or not.

I forgot about the soundtrack and it was GOOD...and FFVII wasn't great in my opinion...and I DID finish the game for your information!!! :rolleyes2 (not like it was worth finishing... )

The game was boring, but the FF7 anime wasnt, I must admit. If you havent seen it, you should, just type "FF7 last order" at youtube.com. The game was boring, but the anime was actually very good. It was the FF7 I always wished it could be. After all, I REALLY wanted to like FF7, but I couldnt.

Anyway, yeah I love FF7's soundtrack. Has some awesome tracks, but thats all I like in the game.

Nah, it's just my thoughts whenever I see posts like this, but it has spawned an interesting discussion so kudos.

By the way, I don't like the fact that GameFan is quoted as saying "quite possible the greatest game ever made" on the back of FFVII. Sometimes I just want to find those guys and beat the crap out of them, hehe.

Maybe when 8 had just come out, and the FF7 fanboys began proliferating all kinds of crap about it on the internet. But nowadays, VIII has definetely become one of the most talked about and appreciated additions to the Final Fantasy universe.

I have beaten FF7, watched FF7 Last Order, and I watched Cloud pummel Sephiroth in AC ( didnt watch the whole movie though ). How's that for someone who doesnt even like the game?

Actually, it was Advent Children that put me (and some other people) in a "Hate VII!" phase. So, AC won't 7-nize most FFVII's "haters" (well, they don't like it x.x)

Yeah that's basically all I liked about the game...oh and The Turks too!!! Without the soundtrack and The Turks, FFVII would have been nothing!!! (not like it was much of anything to begin with... ) The only scenes I actually REALLY liked were:

~ When we were in Don Coreno's pimp house :laugh:

~ When we meet Don again in the Yuffie sub-quest, and The Turks come & Reno disses him & kicks him off the cliff :laugh:

~ When Aeris gets stabbed through the stomach by Sephiroth...oh yeah...that was sweet... :laugh:

~ ...and basically any scene with The Turks (not like there were in many though... )
