I prefer ff8. I didn't get nearly as into 7 as I did 8.
I think you mean epitome, not epiphany. An epiphany is a sudden revelation, while an epitome is a synonym for a peak.
And yes, that is exactly what it means.

Yeah, I agree that threads like this tend to polarize and anger people who don't take lightly to the opinions of others. Not to bash you or anything, but what kind of answer did you expect to get by posting this question in the FF8 forum board? Even though most people here would be partial to Final Fantasy 8 over most other games in the series, I think we've all gone through enough of these threads and arguments to realize that there really is no point to them.
Personally, I prefer Final Fantasy 8 over any other game ever created. One could write a book about the game's extraordinary features, but suffice it to say that the combination of its music, storyline, character relations, and seemless cut scenes interlaced throughout gameplay make FF8 simply fantastical to experience.
I prefer 8, but 7 is still good
The thing about the graphics though, its not really fair to say that coz at the time that was awesome graphics

The reason why ff7's 'bad graffics were so bad' was because it was made in 1997...
ff8 was made in like 2000 or something... therefore leaving more time to improve graphics and story. I was also longer, but I didn't think that the story was as complex as ff7.
FF8 was too easy to level up and gain stats, and you could easily get to 9999hp at level 50... while Cloud would be at 5100hp with hp plus(3stars) with fire and ultima equipped.
