I agree 100% with dreddz here because I can speak from experience on this matter. I posted a picture which by all emans should have had me banned from this site a few years ago. It was a stupid mistake wich I regret doing very much. It limited my ability to do many things on the site. I just think sometime s with matters like these maybe we should give members a second chance. I for one am greatful that I was given one.

well, just because people agree the staff has the right to do anything they want when they register doesn't mean they don't have the right to complain when they don't think it's justified. But I'm fairly sure you weren't trying to say that.

yeah, iirc, a number of people were quite upset when you were given one and Peter was not, but I don't feel like dredging up that argument again

a little bit of spam here and there is ok. it takes a lot to get warned for spamming here, and then you have to keep it up for a while to get banned for spamming.

I don't doubt that there are people who complain about it. But I think they need to find better things to worry about than a bit of spam on an internet message board. Again, it's not really harming anyone, and as long as a significant number of people other than the original poster find it funny, it's not really degrading the forums much.

Then again, I'm not in charge here, and if I were, things would no doubt be significantly different in other aspects as well

I'd argue that it is harming people, since they lose their posting privileges.

And just because things work doesn't mean they can't be improved. I have yet to see a message board that operates perfectly.

I am happy with the way this place is run, I have not got on the wrong side of the mods too often, and when I did I knew why and (probably) stopped. This is one of the best forums out there, and the strictness does not bother me.
