FF2 was OK, but I personally like the system of experience instead of FF2's system. Plus the magic went basically unused for me because i hated that system too. I liked the plot however, and the fact that you could carry two weapons. I pretty much said "[img]/xxx.gif[/img][img]/xxx.gif[/img][img]/xxx.gif[/img][img]/xxx.gif[/img] shields" and used 2 weapons the whole game. All in all, I'd give it a 6.5 out of 10.

While i dont 'hate' FF2, i think it is easily the worst one in the final fantasy series.
My major gripe was the leveling up process.

I find this a stupid reason to hate the game. xD Obviously this is an old game, but it's a classic. Old games should be judged on how entertaining they are, not by how pretty looking they are.Because the graphics suck that's why!!!!!
Anyway, I love FF2. It definitely isn't one of my favorites and wasn't the funnest for me, but there are a lot of things I do like about it.
They can but it's hypocritical. FFVII was a total eyesore.

Really? In my game, Layla doesn't use magic at all. I just give her 2 knives and theif gear and watch her pwnz the hell out of gigases while dodging every hit.
She COMES with Lit, and has terrible attack power, and decent INT. ... she's a more a mage...
and the graphics were awesome, at least the battle ones...
Well that's yet another fun thing about FFII. It doesn't matter how a character starts out, you can train them to be anything you like. Since Layla is a pirate, I figured "why not make her a theif?" It worked suprisingly well and that was actually the moment when I realized that evasion is MUCH more important than defense.
I always gave Guy tons of armor, but he also took WAY more damage than anyone else. When I realized Layla had the highest evasion and always took the least amount of damage, I realized that defense in FFII is useless.
People hate FF2 the same reason they all hate FF9, 'they are horrible idoits'
