I don't know why Quistis is getting dissed.
A. Let's face it. She is the hottest girl in FF8.
B. I bet she doesn't just use that whip to kill monsters. If you know what I mean.
C. I like her hair!
Zell, however, should be removed because of his stupidity.
this is another reason i dislike quistis. the only reason people like her is for reasons above posted by "lulus moogle." and they are unimportant. its her personality and attitude which matters and compared to the other characters personalitys hers sort of sucks and is annoying.

I think the only character I would remove is Quistis, but only because I find her annoying personally. The story would really suffer without her, and she would definately need a replacement character if removed.

I'm displeased with the amount of people saying Quistis should've been dropped. Quistis is the best famale character in FF8 and the entire FF series! Rant, over.
And to answer the topic question, no one should be removed, although Adel should have a make over.
Quistis is the smartest, without her everyone would be running around not knowing what to do like headless chicken wusses

Ultimecia, then the story wouldn't be a cop-out, in my opinion.

After the first half of disc one, quistis can be removed. You probabley wouldn't even notice she was gone. I don't have anything against her, just she's so boring and unimportant

I'd have to say Fujin. She completely irritated me with those one word phrases. Maybe if they gave her more of a personality, she would've been a better character.
