I prefer them to learn all, but only after initiall specialisation and extensive work.

FFX sphere grid was great, although more freedom early on, or more branching paths....
So the advanced FF Sphere Grid...

yep, the advanced grid was fantastic, very intricate, you had to work hard to do all you could (very well rounded game for that) and to learn all the abilities!!!!! i loved the fact that for extra effort (ie monster arena) you could advance further still!!!!! although i am very partial to materia!!!!! you could literally custom build your characters with it
i do not like having just one person who can heal you if you are low on HP, i like all mine to be lean mean fightin' machines!!!!

I like FFI, IV, VI, IX, and if you choose one class alone to use for the larger portion of the game, FFV. So, as they are laid out.

Yup, Sphere Grid is good. There characters start unique, but they all end the same if you are a power leveler. I like that. XD However, I don't really to see Sphere Grid again. It was too expensive =o FFVI also had the "start unique, end the same", but in FFX, they only become the same after you finish the sphere grid. In FFVI, all the charatcers are the same as long as you have Espers.

But I don't like when they are all the same since the beginning (FFVII, and FFVIII). Seriously, these character had only Limit Breaks as a difference. I don't like it, I prefer "characters are always unique" (FFIV and FFIX) over that.

Job system is very good, but it can create some mean overpowered monsters >D

I prefer my characters to be balanced out with different abilities.

Like in FF I, I would always like to have 2 attackers and 2 magic users(knight, Master, Black wizard, white Wizard to be exact)

In FF II, the characters I would make to use magic is Firion(as a Paladin type character)and Maria(as a Black Mage). I would probably give a Cure spell to gordon but that's about it. Everyone else(with the exception of Minwu)can just use physical attacks.

In FF III, I would do the same as FF I. My first character would a Fighter, Knight, Dragoon(for the Garuda battle), and then Mystic Knight. My 2nd character would start off a Monk, then move to Master, then to Ninja. 3rd character would be a Black Mage, then a Black Wizard. 4th character would be a White mage, White Wizard, then Sage.

In FF V, Bartz would a Knight then a Lancer. Galuf would be a Black Mage then a Summoner. Reina would be a White Mage then a Time Mage. Faris would be a Monk then a Ninja.

In FF X, I make everyone learn their abilities in the sphere grid, then I move them to other parts of the sphere grid, but I don't make them learn other character abilities, but to raise their stats instead(with the exception of Khimari. I make him learn Wakka's abilities.)

So you see, I like to have variety in my party for any FF game I play. I like my characters to each have their own special skill and trait. The only exception to this is FF VI and FF VII because I feel all the characters in those games should learn Magic.

Balthier - "That's right, Fran! Just click on Crossblades' thread on the very bottom of this signature and it will show you all license grid translations, magicks and tecks locations, and other changes that were made!"
Basch - "Don't forget though. Swap Magic is needed to play this game if you don't own a japanese PS2."
Vaan - "Also remember that if you played the original, you'll have an easier time playing the international version. We hope you enjoy the International Zodiac Job System experience. See ya then!"

I like every character to be original

allowing all characters to summon and do everything makes the game boring and you tend to use certain charcters more than others, and I COMPLETELY hate that
