I will listen to you all first.
I will listen to you all first.
You mean as in abilities? Okay, Vaan will be my main Swordsman, Ashe will be my White Mage, Fran will be my Bow wielding Black Mage, Pennelo will be the monk with Green Magic, Basch will be another swordsman, and and Balflear will be a Gunner
Vaan - "Hey, you!"
Penelo - "Yeah, you! The one reading this sig at this very moment!"
Vaan - "Interested in playing FFXII International Zodiac Job system?"
Ashe - "But you have no knowledge of the Japanese language?"
Fran - "....We could help...."
Balthier - "That's right, Fran! Just click on Crossblades' thread on the very bottom of this signature and it will show you all license grid translations, magicks and tecks locations, and other changes that were made!"
Basch - "Don't forget though. Swap Magic is needed to play this game if you don't own a japanese PS2."
Vaan - "Also remember that if you played the original, you'll have an easier time playing the international version. We hope you enjoy the International Zodiac Job System experience. See ya then!"

how do you know how the character abilities work in this way though. you night not have a choice in what magic types or weapon types your characters can equip. i disagree with you thinking ashe should be a WM though, because shes the first professional female swordslinger since FF6 (not counting beatrix cause she wasnt a major playable character ,or the job system on FFX-2 because anyone could be a fighter on that.) . im not sure about which characters will have which abilities though because FF12 isnt out yet.

We have a pretty good idea from the demo. Everyone seemed to have the opportunity to learn all four types of magic (black, white, green, and time). I have yet to decide who I want to be what. I want to take a look at each character's natural strengths and weaknesses as derived from their base stats. I try to play to their strengths. I'm not too interested in teaching everyone every type of spell as it appears to be possible. I like the strategic element of forming a party of characters who have their own specialties.
i think the abilities will be more forced and less choice. ive not played the demo but seems as its a demo i you cant make assumptions about character abilities. but id just develop them according to base stats.
